I flew into Sea-Tac and drove 100 miles to the national park. This photo of Mt. Rainier was taken on a hike I did by myself before the workshop began. I was hiking to Frozen Lake after parking at the Sunrise Visitor Center. Unfortunately I was a week or so late for the wild flowers in the meadow.

Daylight Moonshot Effect
This exposure was made mid-afternoon. The reflection on the lake is actually the sun. I used a small aperture to get the sunburst effect and -3 exposure to darken the image before converting it to black and white.
