Father's Day Getaway

This year for Fathers day Jenny and I spent the evening at the Highlands Ranch Resort near Mill Creek, CA. This was one of the best Father's Day gifts that Jenny has given me in the past 39 years ( yes, my oldest will be 40 this October but I won't mention her name). We spent one night at the Highlands Inn Resort and the following day in Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Highlands Ranch Resort Cottage
This is the cottage that where Jenny and I stayed. Remarkable setting. We even had a full moon rise about 9 that evening while we were in the hot tub!

This restored pickup obviously is part of the resort. It reminded me of my grandfathers truck I rode in while growing up on our ranch in Orland.

This tree was in the Bumpass Hell parking lot. Unfortunately, the trail to Bumpass Hell is closed for the season due to trail repairs.
