Columbia Gorge

Jenny and I spent several wonderful days last July in the Columbia Gorge. We had a wonderful view of the Columbia River from our balcony of our motel in Cascade Lock, Oregon.

  • The 611 foot high Multnomah Falls is one of the more visited falls along the Columbia Gorge. Access to the bridge at the top of the lower falls is a pretty easy walk.

  • This is a photo of a barge transporting the equivalent of 400 truck loads of cargo. I took this photo from our hotel balcony. I like the fact that the barge is heading east and the train on the opposite or Washington side of the Columbia River is going west.
