Jenny and I spent several wonderful days last July in the Columbia Gorge. We had a wonderful view of the Columbia River from our balcony of our motel in Cascade Lock, Oregon.
The 611 foot high Multnomah Falls is one of the more visited falls along the Columbia Gorge. Access to the bridge at the top of the lower falls is a pretty easy walk.
This black and white photo of Mt. Hood was taken on an overcast afternoon. I ended up liking the overall texture of this image much more than the original one in color.
This stone structure is Crown Point. It overlooks the Columbia River on the south or Oregon side of the river. I was unable to convince the 2 cars on located the left of this photo to move before I took this photo.
This is a photo of a barge transporting the equivalent of 400 truck loads of cargo. I took this photo from our hotel balcony. I like the fact that the barge is heading east and the train on the opposite or Washington side of the Columbia River is going west.
